Who we are and what we do.

I was born and raised in Uganda, a small country in East Africa, where I built the foundation of my professional life. I worked as a university lecturer at Makerere University and Victoria University and was pursuing my PhD. My dream was to become a professor. But as I moved through life, Yahweh revealed a different purpose, one that grew quietly through my personal experiences long before I understood it.

My journey into caregiving began at home. I am a mother to a child with special needs, and from the moment she came into my life, I learned what it means to love beyond limitations and expectations. In a culture where children like her were often misunderstood or unfairly labeled, she became my greatest teacher in compassion, patience, and advocacy.

Two years into my marriage, my father-in-law was diagnosed with prostate cancer. His illness led us through a seven-year battle filled with hospital visits, treatments, and the emotional weight of watching someone you love slowly weaken. I was deeply involved in his care until the day he passed. Not long after, my brother-in-law suffered a severe stroke that left him paralyzed. I became his primary caregiver, attending to all his personal needs, feeding, bathing, lifting, and comforting him, until he, too, passed away.

Five years later, my mother-in-law developed high blood pressure and diabetes. Within a year, she had her leg amputated and later suffered a stroke that led to dementia. Once again, I stepped into the role of caregiver. These experiences changed me. They taught me that caring for the sick, elderly, and vulnerable is not simply a responsibility; it is an act of mercy. It is a calling.

When I migrated to the United States, I had to choose between continuing my academic path or listening to the quiet voice that had been growing inside my heart. I chose the latter. I began working with children with special needs and later with elderly clients in assisted living and home care settings. Every day, I felt an overwhelming sense of purpose. I realized that caregiving was not just something I had done for my family, it was what I had been created to do.

That realization is what gave birth to Tehillim Home Care Agency.

I started this agency because I know what it means to sit beside a loved one who is suffering. I know what it means to bathe someone who cannot lift their own hands, to comfort someone whose mind is slipping away, and to fight for the dignity of someone whose voice is fading. My life has taught me that every person, regardless of age, illness, or ability, deserves compassion, respect, and a caregiver who sees them as more than their condition.

Tehillim Home Care Agency was built from a place of love, faith, and lived experience. It is my way of honoring the people I cared for, the lessons I learned, and the purpose Yahweh placed on my life.

This is not just my business, it is my calling.
